Way too Early Player Ratings: R16 Coppa Italia Edition

Here’s our way too Early player predictions for our Coppa Italia match against Genoa.

Buffon 5.5 - with a very weak back line, I feel that we will struggling defensively and leak a couple of goals. We can hope the Buffon has a classic SuperGigi match.

Demiral 5.5 - Merih needs a string of games to gain some sort of consistency. Against Genoa he will struggle at times with and without the ball

Dragusin 5.5 - he will be at fault for one of the goals against. He’s extremely young and games like these are very helpful for a younger players development

Chiellini 5.5 - his first start in months will be quite rocky. Juve will be relying on his experience to see them through this game. Be ready to see some of his classic wayward passes. Classic.

Bernardeschi 6 - Berna’s workrate is sometimes questioned but seeing as this is his first start in some time, look for him to give it his all. His final ball will be missing but hey, we already knew that.

Arthur 6.5 - with this starting XI, if Arthur isn’t the bright spot then I think we wasted a huge transfer fee and wages on this guy. Nothing go’s forward. Expect some technical brilliance that makes you want more v Genoa.

Rabiot 6.5 - Another player who should look to dominate. We are waiting just like Pirlo for this guy to explode consistently. Hopefully it starts against Genoa. I think it does.

Frabotta 5.5 - yes I understand I said he wouldn’t produce one final ball last match. I was off by one. His technical quality and confidence is a bit behind for a Juve player. I say he doesn’t stick out which will be a good thing

Portanova 5 - I thought we sold him already? Good thing we didn’t as he’s another body to play in this game. He’ll be frustrating to watch in the attacking phase creating little to nothing

Kukusevski 6.5 - Kulu has been decent the last couple of matches. Against Genoa he’ll will be the main source of creation. It will be nice to watch him play with freedom

Morata 6 - coming off an injury Alvaro will be hard pressed for service against Genoa and will be subbed off early to be ready for Inter.

Pirlo 7.5 - This game is about preventative maintenance. If we don’t lose anyone else to injury, check this as a plus. Pirlo picked the correct XI for this match.
