Way too Early Player Ratings: Juventus vs Spezia

Injuries are affecting every team right now and it cannot be an excuse. Hellas Verona should have been 3 points in the bag. No need to dwell on it now. Just make sure there are no more blips.

Szczesny 6 - Tek needs a clean sheet for some confidence. Not just for him but for his team. He’ll keep us as organized as possible.

Demiral 5.5 - good physical defender, bad ball-playing defender. He needs to get better. He’ll be okay against a semi inferior side.

Danilo 6 - in the middle of the 3 man defense, look for him to pop up in the midfield area when we try and play from the back. Danilo has been useful this year.

De Ligt 7 - one of 3 all-stars for Juve this season. He’s the ultimate rock at the back. He oozes class and will be sharp as ever against Spezia.

Chiesa 6.5 - the young Italian has added an offensive spark to a dull Juventus side. He has been consistently excellent since the calendar turned to 2021. Expect another good game against Spezia.

Bentancur 5 - here we go again. Just don’t be careless in possession and he’ll be fine. However, he will still lose the ball too much and not create anything.

Rabiot 5.5 - the Frenchman has been anonymous. I can’t see it changing. Pirlo had high hopes for him but we need much better. Against Spezia he will have another average performance.

Fagioli 6 - he is scheduled to start but a stomach issue may hinder this. It would have been a perfect game for him to play. Lots of possession and he seems creative. Hopefully, he gets the start and he will do well.

Bernardeschi 4 - honestly, useless. He fills space. That’s as nice as I’ll be. Left Back should be second on the list of transfer targets after a central midfielder. Look for Bernardeschi to fill some space against Spezia.

Ronaldo 6.5 - will probably score another easy goal and the fanboys will bring up the 50% of Juve’s goal stats or whatever it is and say he’s superhuman. Yes he is good, we know that. However, his overall performances are underwhelming, let’s just be honest. That doesn’t mean I’m hating.

Kulusevski 5.5 - finds space well as the second striker. Now he just needs some productivity. That comes with experience. He’ll be busy again against Spezia but won’t have any end product.

Pirlo 4 - I honestly don’t want to see Bernardeschi play another game. I don’t care if there are injuries. Put it in his head that he isn’t good enough anymore and needs to leave in the summer. Rant over.
