Way too Early Player Ratings: Edizione Derby D’Italia

If the lads weren’t fired up for the round of 16 Coppa Italia match against Genoa, they have no reason not to be for this one. Nothing beats a Derby D’Italia. We come in a bit undermanned but the saying ‘Fino alla Fine’ comes tried and true for games like these. Let’s take a look at how I think the team will do.

Szczesny 5.5 - this game will have a few goals. Juve’s seemingly leaky defence will not help our number 1. Look for the Pole to allow a stinker.

Danilo 6 - rightfully starting. Never thought I’d say it. He’s shining in Pirlo’s XI. He will be the most defensively solid defender out of the 3 centre backs.

Bonucci 4.5 - I don’t have high hopes for Leo against Inter. I see Lukaku having a field day against the Italian without De Ligt to help out.

Chiellini 5 - will look slow and off the pace in such a massive and intense game. A cup game against Genoa B shouldn’t make you start against one of the best in Italy.

Chiesa 6.5 - will have the most energy out of any juve player. This could go well or poorly. I’m going well. He will create the most chances on the team.

Rabiot 5.5 - when will we see this guy have some consistency? He will put in a shift against Inter but will be rather anonymous throughout the encounter. If he, Ramsey and Bentancur win the midfield, I like Juve’s chances

Bentancur 5.5 - much like Rabiot, he will put in a rather anonymous shift. He will frustrate the fan base with some of his decisions but we are used to this.

Frabotta 5.5 - quite remarkable that Frabotta gets the start against Milan, Sassuolo and Inter. Obviously it’s due to injury and illness however, don’t expect much as Hakimi will be a problem for young Gianluca all night.

Ramsey 6 - Ramsey will be buzzing around the pitch trying to make stuff happen. Look for him to be an offensive catalyst and get an asisst

Morata 6 - look for Alvarito to have a good game. He is a big game player and he will score for the bianconeri against rivals Inter

Ronaldo 6.5 - although he won’t hit the score sheet he will be definitely up for the game. Ronaldo loves the biggest stage and look for him to demand the ball

Pirlo 6 - his style of play is starting to show more and more throughout the matches. With a fairly light squad, he is setting up with defensive minded players.
