We enter this QF against Serie B side SPAL. You can tell how highly Pirlo thinks of SPAL with the starting XI he has pencilled in.
Buffon 5.5 - We get another game with Gigi between the pipes. He’ll have a weirdly eventful game given the very young back line. He’ll make 2 saves and concede a goal
Demiral 6 - the big Turk will make a couple of mistakes but he will be very good in one on one scenarios. Hell make 4 interceptions and 3 tackles Merih will win 3 aerial duels.
De Ligt 6.5 - it’ll be good that the Dutch Hulk gets some minutes under his belt. He’ll be good enough for a win being solid.
Frabotta 5.5 - Gianluca won’t be the wide left sided player against SPAL. We will see him lineup more defensively which might be a good thing for him to feel more comfortable.
Di Pardo 5.5 - first start and first appearance for this young Italian. He’ll try his best and hopefully may surprise us as Rafia did last round. I can see a nice attacking build up play come from him.
Fagioli 5.5 - I can this rookie having a rather anonymous appearance. He will try and keep things simple which is fine but we’ll needs lots from Rabiot.
Rabiot 6.5 - The Frenchman will score against SPAL and make us wish he could do it all the time. Look for the former PSG player to put in a decent shift.
Bernardeschi 5 - listen all, if he can’t be effective and dominant against this SPAL side, it’s over. It should have been already but like, come on now.
Ramsey 6 - it looks like Weston Potter has fully taken charge of the advanced midfielder role. Unfortunately for Ramsey his offensive production hasn’t been there. Against SPAL he’ll make 3 key passes.
Kulusevski 7 - seemed a bit off against Bologna and his final ball doesn’t seem to click. He will score against SPAL and hopefully work on his total attacking game.
Morata 6.5 - might struggle for service with the players around him. He’ll try to link up and he’ll get an assist.
Pirlo 6 - hopefully we can progress and realistically we should. It’s nice to see the manager use some youth.
Juventus 2-1 Spal
