Way Too Early Player Ratings: Coppa Italia Final

When thinking about this game and our opponent, I had to pause, reflect and acknowledge that we are the underdogs in this final. Incredible, but it is the truth. Atalanta is a better team than Juve. Anything goes in a one-off game so we will see what happens.

Buffon 6 - will concede goals however none of them will be due to an error by him. In what appears to be his last match in black and white, Gigi will do his best to win his Old Lady one last trophy.

Cuadrado 6 - going back to starting as an RB, Juan will be fatigued after one his best games ever. He will create problems for Gosens down the right, making him defend more and I could see this hindering that side of Atalanta.

De Ligt 7.5 - he will be gargantuan as always. He will be close to scoring as well.

Chiellini 5 - at this stage, Chiello has become a liability. With Bonucci injured and Demiral not fully trusted, Giorgio has been summoned once again. His lack of pace will allow Muriel/Zapata to be dangerous.

Danilo 6.5 - the man’s playing hurt but he will still be a rock defensively against Atalanta. He won’t be attacking as much due to his nagging injury and the fact that Atalanta will have good possession.

McKennie 5.5 - can’t be the starting right midfielder. He is more effective in the middle of the park and gets lost out on the flanks. Expect him to be the first sub out.

Bentancur 5 - I saw a rumor of a swap for Renan Lodi. He gets a 5 for potentially bringing in a decent left-back.

Rabiot 6 - Rabiot has been alright lately. Atalanta’s midfield will bully Juve, not solely because of the Frenchman though. He’ll put in a shift.

Chiesa 5.5 - starting on the left when Cuadrado is starting at right back.. whatever. I’m over Pirlo’s 4-4-2 at this point. Chiesa will do more defending than attacking Atalanta defenders in the final.

Dybala 4.5 - in a ‘must impress’ game, I think club legend Paulo gets lost for the majority of the time he’s on the pitch.

Ronaldo 6 - N/A ... just kidding ... he will try his very best to win the match for Juve. He probably knows this is the last chance he’ll have to win silverware in black and white.

Pirlo -2 - 4-4-Boo. Boring to watch, must be brutal to be a part of. I think he has to win this final and make the top 4 to save himself. So, the pressure’s on il Maestro.
