Things we learned from the Sampdoria game
Another convincing win vs Sampdoria has Juventus playing with much confidence, after the defeat vs Inter a few weekends has Juventus back in the Scudetto race, with the Coppa Italia semi-final legs coming up agaisnt Inter in consecutive weeks.
Here are some things we learned from the Samdoria game, as the season keeps rolling along..
Andrea Pirlo is making his mark on this team. It took awhile to get rolling, but finally Andrea Pirlo's philsophy is resonating with this team of stars. As usual you expected a learning curve with trials and tribulations, and various lineups but finally a set lineup in the last few games to keep consistency has been set ou. With the backline of Chiellini and Bonucci healthy, and the partnership and Ronaldo and Morata this team is primed to make a comeback for the Scudetto, when all seemed lost a few weeks ago.
Federico Chiesa and Juan Cuadrado are dynamic on the wings. When Juventus pushes through from the back line, up the wings to Chiesa and Cuadrado on their respective wings, Juve plays with much more speed and purpose and keeps the opposition on their toes and makes the game go much faster. As was evident on Chiesa's goal. And Cuadrado is the energizer bunny. He plays at full speed and makes clear passes in the middle for Ronalso and Morata.
Chiellini is back. With a game clearing agaisnt Sampdoria, the Capitan is back and healthy shoring up the backline and keeping the rest of the team in check. After been in and out of the lineup for most of the season he is healthy and playing defense like never before going up agaisnt the teams best strikers, and controlling the defense.
With these observations and with the resurgence and cofidence after the Super Coppa Italia, and imortant matches vs Inter, Napoli and Roma coming up in the next few weeks, the Old Lady can't take the foot of the gas and are full throttle ahead for a 10th straight Scudetto, not to mention a few Champions League group stage matches mixed in. They will need everyone ready including the role players.
