STORYLINES TO WATCH OUT FOR: SAMPDORIA VS JUVENTUS

After a convincing and easy win vs Spal, on Wednesday evening in the Coppa Italia Quarter-FInal, Juventus is back at it, in the Serie A as they visit Sampdoria to continue their winning ways , and keep the pressure on Milan and Inter in the race for the Scudetto.

Here are 4 story lines to watch out for this week:

1) The Kids are alright. Juventus started a very youthful squad on Wednesday evening, with the likes of Fagioli, Dragusin and Frabotta in the starting lineup with Frabotta bagging a goal. More of the youth movement needs to be thrown in the mix with a cast of veterans in the lineup. Whether they will be inserted in the starting lineup as the season comes to a end, remains to be seen but it shows Andrea Pirlo unlike his previous successors, Maurizio Sarrio and Max Allegri is not afraid to insert the youngsters in the starting lineup.

2) Avoiding gaps in concentration. In most games this year when Juventus storms out to a lead in the first half, they seem to fall asleep in the second half, which gives the opponents confidence. Against Sampdoria who can score goals, once Juve has the lead they need to pounce on them and finish the game off .

3) Great to have De Ligt back. The heir apparent to Giorgio Chiellini is back and healthy, after in isolation after a bout with corona virus. He will shore up the back line immensely and let Chiellini get rested in games that are winnable.

4) Will the Morata and Ronaldo partnership continue. Looks like when Ronaldo and Morata are together they seem to click and score goals in bunches. Lets hope we will see more of the same vs Sampdoria and moving forward as the season progresses. If that tandem keeps scoring in droves this team can get on a streak, and win a 10th straight Scudetto.
