Roma vs Juventus match report: Cristiano Ronaldo rescued Juventus once again.

Cristiano Ronaldo rescued Juventus once again by scoring a brace as the Old escaped with a well deserved draw with Roma, 2-2 in the Italian Capital. Ronaldo’s second goal was scored, as Juventus were down 10 men as Rabiot picked up his second yellow card.

Jordan Veretout scored both goals for Roma.  The opening 20 minutes saw both teams try to get into the flow of the game, but it was Roma who almost took the early lead .  Mkhitayaran fired off a shot at the Juventus goal but Sczezesny made a great save to deny him. 

Roma opened the scoring when they were awarded a Penalty kick as Rabiot was flagged with a handball . Veretout stepped up to take the spot kick, and his ball went under Sczezesny and off the inside of the far post . Ramsey nearly equalized for Juventus, but his cross from Ronaldo was just inches wide of the goal.  Juventus evened the score when they were awarded a penalty, and Ronaldo made no mistake, as he blasted it home . That was to be short lived as Roma scored before the half on the counter attack . Mkhitaryan played the ball across to Veretout, who found himself open at goal and he fired in a strong effort to make it 2-1 in favour of Roma going into the break.

Roma almost put the game away as the second half started .Dzeko pounced on a defensive error, but the upright saved Juventus once again .

Pirlo decided to make a double change as he brought on Douglas Costa and Arthur in exchange for Mckennie and Moratta.

Rabiot was shown a second yellow card and was sent off . Although Juventus was down to ten men they kept pushing for the equalizer. 

They  got it in the 69th minute through a towering leap by Ronaldo that saw him effortlessly nod home the equalizing goal. Frabotta was brought on with five minutes to go in place of Kulusevski, but that wasn’t enough to score a late winner as Juve left the capital with a very fortunate draw.
