Player of the game: Federico Bernardeschi “Il Bambino” wakes up
After the defeat against Verona “la Vecchia Signora” needed a win, with the Milan teams getting more and more ahead. After a difficult first half, Juventus need more speed and aggressiveness on the wings. Pirlo took a chance and use Federico Bernarderchi, a player that has been consistently criticized since his move from Fiorentina. A chance that many would have criticized before the game turns out to be the key to victory. Bernardeschi was crucial on the first two goals that open up the game. Using his pace to move behind the defense and crossing the ball perfectly for Morata in the first goal. In the second goal, Bernardeschi used his on-the-ball skills to create a chance that Chiesa didn’t waste.
Without a doubt, this has been Federico’s best performance of the season. The 27-year-old turn backs the wheels of time and became that youngster that every “Bianconeri” dreamed of. Juventus will need him to be at his best for the next games taking into consideration the injury list. Every Juventini will hope that “Il Bambino” is able to strike again.
