Interactive Transfer Activity: Juventus Blueprint for the Summer

As we head into a pivotal summer transfer window, I am going to take a deep dive into a realistic approach Juventus can take in adding important players and offloading some deadwood. In this activity, the max negative expenditure for our transfer season is 25 million euros. Given that the European Super League has been suspended, little to no money will be available for Juventus to use on incoming transfers. I will take into account that some teams may be angry with Juventus and will spike the price of their players up due to the proposed Super League. With that being said, some players leaving will be of some quality. At the end of this, I will showcase my ideal starting XI for the 2021-2022 season. Weston McKennie will be added to the incoming player's list as we activated the purchase clause couple of months ago and will count towards the summer budget. As part of the signing, the 18.5 Million Euro figure is to be made payable in 3 years. One last thing to note, all fees for outgoing players will be transfermarkt.com based figures unless I believe someone will pay more for the player.

Squad Needs:

The type of player Juventus requires first and foremost is a quality, ball-playing central midfielder. We need a player that can retain possession at a high rate and distribute the ball to our attackers that are in good areas on the pitch. Another definite upgrade is needed at the left-back position. Alex Sandro, Gianluca Frabotta and Federico Bernardeschi are just not what a world-class team requires at Left Back. A proper striker and a creative playmaker would also be positions to upgrade this summer. As always, Juventus needs to sell off some deadwood and probably needs to make a capital gain or two.

Players In:

Total Incoming 181.5 Million Euros

Reasons for Incomings:

Some of these players coming in are out of necessity, like McKennie (exercising our purchase rights), Morata (you won’t find a cheaper option at 10 Million euros). Locatelli has been wanted for a while and he’s damn good at what he does. Lucas Digne is an upgrade at Left Back, Martin Odegaard can provide an attacking spark (maybe he can convince fellow Norwegian Haaland to come next summer), Max Caqueret can provide quality midfield depth (even start some games) and Dusan Vlahovic can come in as a figurehead in attack as he is used to Serie A play.

Players Out:

*Confirmed departures

Total Outgoing 156.5 Million Euro

Reasons for Outgoings:

There is not really one surprise on my outgoing list. It consists of returning loan players like Costa, Rugani, Pjaca, Perin, and De Sciglio. It consists of totally useless players like Bernardeschi, Ramsey and Alex Sandro and it consists of our main player Cristiano Ronaldo. At this time, Juventus are in transition and his wage and age make it clear we are in different timelines. We admit the Ronaldo project was a bust. The blame is on both parties (Ronaldo and Juventus management - shockingly both can be true). The fee of 30 million covers the rest of his book val
