Four story lines to watch for vs Verona

Fresh off a convincing 3-0 win vs Crotone, Juventus are back at it, vs Verona in another must-win, to keep pace with league leaders Inter Milan. Here are four storylines to watch out for as this game unfolds.

1) Fagioli must start. Although he came on as a substitute late vs Crotone, It would be nice to see how he does in a full match in Serie A. He plays with a lot of maturity and vision, as Juventus looks to have some stability in midfield with Arthur out due to injury and Aaron Ramsey has been highly inconsistent this year. Now we are not saying Fagioli is the second coming of Alessandro Del Piero, but there are some things that Fagioli does well, that will make him a fixture for many years to come in Turin.

2) Different Backline. With Chiellini and Bonucci out, look for Andrea Pirlo to mix up the backline. A lineup of De Licht, Demiral, and Dragusin the monster in the back will be interesting to see. He has shown he can play well in short glimpses this season. He is young and healthy, and Pirlo hasn't been shy to start the young guns this season. We will see if Pirlo starts him this Sunday, but it would be nice to see.

3) Keep Chiesa in the starting lineup. With Cuadrado out with injury still, Chiesa filled in admirably last week, vs Verona. His long runs down the flanks opened up the spaces in the middle for Ronaldo and the strikers to do their thing, and the game went much smoother and crisper.

4) Time for Bernardeschi to sit. I keep saying this game after game, but Pirlo must see something in him that we don't. He is just slow, gives up the ball too much, and misses easy chances. We need to find other uses for him. Bringing him on late in games is a plus, as he plays better off the bench.
